Clinical Pilates

Pilates is a form of exercise therapy that utilizes a range of equipment including spring loaded Pilates reformers, Trapeze tables and floor based exercises. Pilates aims to improve coordination, strength and flexibility throughout the body. Pilates is beneficial for core strengthening which can aid in recovery of a number of injuries including low back pain.

At Geelong Physiotherapy Pilates can be used as an adjunct to conventional physiotherapy methods, with individualised Pilates based exercise programs designed by a physiotherapist.

Session Times

Clinical Pilates sessions are held in the clinic.  Sessions are 45 minutes in duration. Groups consist of up to 3 patients, all completing individually designed pilates programs under the supervision and guidance of DMA accredited physiotherapist.
