Pilates is a form of exercise therapy that utilizes a range of equipment including spring loaded Pilates reformers, Trapeze tables and floor based exercises. Pilates aims to improve coordination, strength and flexibility throughout the body. Pilates is beneficial for core strengthening which can aid in recovery of a number of injuries including low back pain.
At Geelong Physiotherapy Pilates can be used as an adjunct to conventional physiotherapy methods, with individualised Pilates based exercise programs designed by a physiotherapist. All clinics under Geelong Physiotherapy are equipped with Pilates equipment.
